Amaranta "Amy " Ramirez

Amaranta "Amy" Ramirez is a queer Latinx woman currently doing research on LGBTQ+ mental health and social media and queer Latinx women's health. Currently, she is a part of several projects in the S.H.E. Lab including 1) The COVID-19 study 2) Daily Diary study 3) The NLPA COVID study. Her research interests revolve around LGBTQ+ mental health, Latinx mental health, and technology, and social media. Amy's current independent project aims to understand how mental health plays a role in interactions online, whether there are factors that protect mental health, and what factors are detrimental.
