David B. Rivera

David Rivera is a fourth-year doctoral student in UC Santa Barbara’s Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology PhD Program. David attended community college and went on to transfer to San Diego State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree. In 2021, he was a selected recipient of the competitive 2020-2021 Louis H. Towbes Fellowship at UC Santa Barbara. He is interested in research aimed at addressing sexual and gender minority health disparities. He is also interested in how cultural factors, stress, and gender roles relate to health outcomes with a particular focus on sexual and gender minority Latinx individuals.
