Rita is a communications industry veteran and longtime community organizer, who serves on the Executive Board of the SoCal Pacific Islander Community Response Team, as well as the Boards of PacBiz, the Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander (NHPI) Alliance, and LE GaFa. In 2017, she was key in organizing Pasifika PRIDE, a first-of-its-kind convening of NHPI LGBTQIA+ leaders from across the country. Rita is a proud lesbian mom to an amazing daughter and two above average pups.
